“Under the Wings of Imagination III” (2011)

Youth exchange project (2011 January – April)

32 participants from Turkey, Hungary, Poland and Lithuania came together to get to know each other better and to develop their imagination. The core theme of the project was based on fantasy and LARP (Live Action Role Playing). During the project, three groups got the same scenarios for the LARP which defined the beginning of the game, and the roles of the characters, but had no pre-determined end and every game turned out completely different. Also during the project participants were involved in art workshops, discussions, and team games, introduced their own culture, visited Šilutė gymnasiums and interacted with the students, organized flash mobs in the biggest supermarket of Klaipėda.

The main goal of the project was to encourage young people to take interest in fantasy and through this medium stimulate broader European identity. Second aim was a more specific one – we wanted to take part in the development of an international theatrical role playing game (LARP) by writing scenarios and by sharing useful ideas, successful examples of LARP‘s realization.

Youth exchange project "Under the Wings of Imagination III” was supported by the EU program “Youth in Action”. Project partners – „Happy Childhood“ Fundation (Poland), „Association of Non Profit Human Services of Hungary“,“S & G system and the Generation Association“ (Turkey).
