"Know Your Needs" (2013)

Youth exchange project (2013 May - October)

One of the most serious problems facing new EU member states is young worker migration. Young qualified people from many different backgrounds leave their home countries to face uncertainty. In many cases, these young people leave without any proper thought about their actions or what do they really want from life.

The project „Know Your Needs“ aims to confront problems facing most of the EU, such as emigration, education, youth unemployment, outlook on democracy by analyzing and identifying the needs of young people. If you know what you want from life – you know what you can do to achieve it. By using non-formal education methods, the youngsters will be encouraged to look at different situations and identify what needs and wants drive young people to make risky decisions. We hope, that at the end of the project every participant can say what exactly they want from life and what can they do to make it true. So the project "Know Your Needs" will be focusing on several priority areas were youths will be encouraged to think, analyze and eventually decide what their needs are in education, career and personal goals.

The activities will invite 6 youths from 4 different countries (Estonia, Lithuania, United Kingdom and Spain) and will take place in the region of Ignalina, Lithuania.

Partner organizations:

1. Asociacion Juvenil Inter (Spain)

2. NGO Youth For Society (Estonia)

3. Global Hands CIC Leicester (The United Kingdom)
